Anoplasty for Fused Anus Following Fournier’s Gangrene Debridement: a Case Report

Anal stenosis is a rare debilitating surgical condition that secondary to functional and anatomical causes. Excisional hemorrhoidectomy the leading cause of anal stenosis, affecting up 87.7% cases. The severity level impacted region determines management options considered. Numerous tension-free anoplasty techniques their varying success rates have been reported in literature. A patient-tailored approach highly depends on severity, location, extent stenosis. We present herein case fused anus three years following extensive debridement for Fournier’s Gangrene. colonoscopy illumination guided neo-anal creation was performed, which resulted low severe six weeks later. Subsequently, V-Y anoplasty, lateral internal sphincterotomy, colostomy closure were demonstrated good initial recovery. However, months later, recurred. Diamond-shaped offered, but patient refused any further intervention. This report aims highlight complication its management. clinical challenge learning experience are reported. Additionally, it recommended such complications be managed tertiary center, using multidisciplinary led by an experienced colorectal surgery sub-specialty unit.
